Frustrated Dentist
I’ve spoken to dozens of dentists in the Scottsdale who are extremely frustrated with their marketing. If you’re one, do you feel like this guy?
They desperately want to grow their practices, and have hired out marketing agencies promising results, to never see growth in new patient numbers.
In most locales, there are more than enough dentists, so the competition is high. To gain market share takes creative marketing above and beyond just having a website.
I can’t (and don’t) blame the dentists themselves, as their expertise is in teeth, not marketing.
If you’re a cosmetic dentist there is a lot of potential money at stake. Dental implants can range from $4,000 up to $40,000 for the whole mouth.
Veneers are $1200 apiece with most patients getting a minimum of 6-8, adding up to $9600 per new patient. As you can see, the potential for enormous increases in revenues can add up quickly with the right marketing approach and strategies.
Get Found First
The first issue for a dentist is getting found when people are searching for the services you provide. This would go in the category of search engine optimization and marketing, as well as local optimization in the business listings like Google+ Local, Yelp, Kudzu and many others.
If you’re not found, you lose!
As more and more dental practices are employing SEO companies to improve their rankings, it is becoming very competitive to rank even for local terms, such as cosmetic dentist Scottsdale. Unfortunately, many of these SEO firms are not producing results.
I recently spoke to a dental implant doctor in Scottsdale who was spending $3500 per MONTH on SEO, and within 10 months STILL did not get results.
